THE SATOS:

Bonnie

As far as we know, Bonnie has lived her whole life on the streets. She was a stray who was routinely being fed by rescuers and neighbors, but she was a smart girl who would continuously evade capture. Finally she was caught and brought to our sister-shelter in Puerto Rico!

Because Bonnie has lived on the streets her whole life, she is shy and nervous. Your sponsorship would go toward her continued care, and her transportation cost. Because Bonnie is a shy girl, we fear that the long journey via cargo would be too much for her. We want to pay for a more expensive, direct flight that would be quicker and easier for her. Dependent on funding, we’re hoping to see Bonnie join us in NYC next month!

Franny

From the shape that she was in when she was abandoned at the shelter, it’s obvious that Franny was used by a backyard-breeder. When her body could no longer be used by her keeper - when she could no longer produce litter after litter - she was discarded. She spent months at a shelter in the South, passed up time and time again because she’s a Pitbull Mix. The staff fell in love with her nurturing, smiley and loving nature, though, and that’s when they reached out to us. Even though we know Pitbulls are (sadly) hard to place, we took her on. In July, Franny came to us; she has been staying in foster homes while we patiently work to find her forever. Because she has been a long-term commitment, your sponsorship of Franny would go to her continued care and our efforts to find her forever home!

MoSES

Moses was an owner surrender. His previous owner got cancer and was forced to give Moses up - it was a difficult decision and it’s easy to see how loved Moses was. When things like this happen, the transition from a loving home to a shelter can be a difficult one. We want to get Moses out of Puerto Rico and into his second chance as soon as we can. Your sponsorship can make that happen!

Midnight

Midnight’s story is a bizarre one. His previous owner kept him on a chain that he was never allowed off of; and on top of that, his only stimulation was found in his friend … who was a pig! Our sister-shelter in Puerto Rico convinced Midnight’s owner to surrender him, explaining that a life on a chain is not a happy one. When they finally did get possession of him, Midnight’s happy, goofy nature came out! He loves everything that breaths, listens well to commands and is thriving off the chain. We want to show him that - no only can he live a life free of chains, but he can live a forever life with a loving family and endless adventure. Your sponsorship can make that happen.
